Footsie Coffee Table by Designers Anonymous

December 23rd, 2009 admin

This sleek, polished resin coffee table by Designers Anonymous looks like a piece of furniture that just might scoot to another part of the room. The legs are constructed out of remodeled mannequin legs, which play on the literal concept of “table legs” attached underneath the tabletop. A designer is in the process of constructing shoes for these “bare feet” to give the table an additional element of fun. On a side note, this piece’s legs are very similar to the front legs of this hideous chair by Pharrell Williams . http://www.designers-anonymous.com ©2009 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Furniture – Facebook – Design Milk – Home and Garden – Business

Tank Chair by Pharrell Williams
Nowadays plenty of celebrities have their own signature perfumes and clothing lines. On the other hand, Pharrell Williams, of The Neptunes and N*E*R*D fame, has his own furniture designs. Continuum Table by Jason Phillips
The legs for the Continuum Table by Jason Phillips look like thick, silver spaghetti noodles looping around and keeping the tabletop supported. The design is inspired by models of space-time-continuum where winding structures form an invisible network within the universe. http://www.behance.net/jasonphillipsdesign ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by...

Stalactites as Table Legs : Stalac Coffee Table
David Long from Practice of Everyday Design a new partnership founded in 2009 with a focus on installation art, product design, and architecture sent me this interesting coffee table. The Stalac coffee table is based on the idea of taking a rectangular section from a cave ceiling and using the Stalactites as the table legs. The Practice of Everyday...

Work at Home Furniture : Combination Coffee and Laptop Table
For work at home professionals or workaholics that are always working, this combination coffee and laptop table is a cool piece of furniture. I like the fact that it can be “put away” and not make the living room look like a home office. The simple mechanism that brings the table closer to the person sitting can make a big difference...

The way Gareth Neal’s American walnut wood table is constructed reminds me of a corrugated cardboard piece’s innards. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | 2 comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Facebook – United States – Design Milk – Business – Social Networks  Read More →

This chair by designers Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan of Miso Soup Design is constructed out of eco-resin and CNC router. There is no production waste and no hardware is required to assemble the piece, which is always good news for people who hate to assemble furniture. These separate furniture pieces by Dutch designer Mieke Miejer can be put together like a puzzle to become one large piece with some kind of identity crisis. The result: a cabinet with the engraved image of a chair. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Furniture –...
