
The 1915 Table

The table designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara of Isolation Unit is one interesting creation because it has surfaces of different levels that are held up by thin steel bars that are in different colors. This unique table is known as the 1915 . Each or the bars are carefully placed in a specific way to keep the table in balance. There are always two diametrical bars that are placed 90 degrees from one another. Each bar facing another bar has its complementary color. When the colors are combined, the bars seem gray to the human eye. The color features of the design are extremely interesting. Please see here for more detail. Related …
