Amazing Program Turns Sketches into Photo Montages

What if you could create a fairly convincing image montage in mere minutes, using an online tool that automatically does all the work for you? It sounds insane, but five students from Tsinghua University in China and the National University of Singapore have created a program that does just that . PhotoSketch allows users to create photomontages from basic stick-figure sketches – you don’t even have to have any kind of artistic talent to convey your idea. Art or vandalism?www.scmp.com French street artist Zevs, known for "liquidating" famous logos by pouring paint over them, was arrested early yesterday after a Chanel logo on the façade of a Central building received the same treatment. He was one of three people arrested in connection with the incident at Chater House on 13th July about 3.30 am. Police did not name the three, saying only that they were a 32-year-old Western visitor and two Hong Kong residents aged 27 and 26. The multiply method (color tut video 01) works best with brighter images or line-art and the color layer method (color tut video 02) works best for darker images as it will not effect white areas. Having your line-art or b/w drawing and the color on separate layers you can adjust the colors by doing: when working with color layer mode (color tut video 02), if the color does not look like what you have in mind then use image/adjustments/Hue/Saturation to tweak the color until you get the shade you need. You can lower the layer opacity to have less saturation too. when working with multiply layers (color tut video 01) you can adjust the colors by using image/adjustments/Hue/Saturation To get the best results you still can paint over on top of your image. The downside of working with multiply layers is that you can not make good use of the color-picker unless the background is completely white.
