Luckily, her trainwreck childhood best friend never left home, and ill-advised romantic possibilities lurk around every corner. Aura quickly throws away her liberal-arts clogs and careens into her old/new life: a dead-end hostess job, pathetic Brooklyn "art shows," drinking all the wine in her mother's neatly organized cabinets, competing with her prodigious teenage sister, and desperate sex in a giant metal pipe. Surrounded on all sides by what she could become, Aura just wants someone to tell her who she is.

  This video addresses the controversy created by our Red House Furniture commercial. Here's the original commercial: www.youtube.com Here's the transcript: We knew this video was going to be controversial. Anytime race is discussed in any capacity, controversy ensues. The racial reconciliation concept was a joint effort between the Red House staff and us. They pointed out the fact that their employees and customer base were like the "Rainbow Coalition", and we thought something with a comical racial reconciliation theme would be fun, as well as a conversation starter. For those of you who think this video is racist, we'd like you to distinguish between "racist" and "racial". Racism is "hatred or intolerance of another race or other races." Racial is "of, relating to, or based on a race". This video is very obviously racial as opposed to racist. This video doesn't promote or feature hatred or intolerance. Rather, it's the very opposite. This commercial promotes inclusion and reconciliation, if not in a comical way. To point out the obvious, the irony in this video is that it's completely ridiculous for people to relate furniture to their race. People of all colors are welcome at the Red House, which is something that is taken for granted today, but there was a time in the not-so-recent past during which things as simple as a water fountain were NOT for everyone. If Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, or Dave Chappelle for that matter, were to address racial issues in a comical way <b>...</b>

  Leah's Nursery...
  A clip of Leah's Nursery. Still have to put some things on the walls, but it's more or less done. It has been challenging creating a space for her with a small space already, but we did it. We're definitely unconventional people, so we didn't buy the traditional changing station. We bought a book shelf from IKEA and turned it into our changing station. There's no closet in the room so we bought another IKEA bookshelf and turned it into a mini closet and storage space. We wanted to buy things that she can also grow into and use as she gets older. She only has 0-3 mo. things in the room, everything is in storage. There was absolutely no room for anything else. It's a blessing in a way...we learn how to use the space we have and not clutter..lol. DIY lamp shade for under $3 DIY Bumper pad + changing pad cover - $30 DIY drawer storage (underneath crib) - $13 both bookshelves - $150 wicker basket - $8/each chair - free (had it for a while and was not using it) crib - $80 paint - $20 wall decor - $20 Gotta get creative when money's tight and with limited space =)
